Peter James Rudd
Peter Rudd is an award-winning musician with thirty years local and international music industry experience. Peter has been playing and performing music since he was seven years old, starting on drums before moving to guitar, piano, singing, songwriting and more recently music industry management in global markets.
Peter formed the multiple award-nominated pop/rock band Tourist, which achieved significant international success and critical acclaim with their distinct formula of guitar-based music built upon Rudd's songwriting. Tourist released several albums, toured both New Zealand and overseas, and achieved significant international industry accolades.
Peter was nominated as a Finalist for the International Songwriting Competiton (ISC) from over 15,000 entries from around the world for the song ‘Do You Feel The Cold?.’ Tourist signed a publishing deal with Los Angeles company Heyday Media Group and consequently licensed music to the soundtrack for the Hollywood movie ‘Butterfly Effect 2.’ A number of other major US film and television and advertising soundtrack synchronisation deals were also achieved. The band has toured domestically and overseas performing alongside some of the biggest names in music including Snow Patrol, Evermore, Goldenhorse, Greg Johnson, The Feelers, Opshop and Pluto.
As Director of Rudd School Of Rock Peter believes that musicians like himself, with an intimate practical knowledge of music and a wealth of experience in the music industry have a responsibility to pass this knowledge and experience onto future generations of music leaders.
Peter is also a Director for Tourist Sound Limited an international music publishing/management business.

Anita Lowe joined Rudd School of Rock as Business Development Manager in 2009, and was appointed as General Manager in 2014. Anita brings to Rudd School of Rock a wealth of business experience with her background in management consulting.
While she is no professional musician, Anita is thankful to her parents for putting her through years of music lessons as a young girl. No matter how busy life gets today, Anita still likes to find time to retreat to the piano or guitar for a quick tinker.
Anita's strong business background and appreciation of music and music education makes her an invaluable member of the management team at Rudd School of Rock.
